Our Mission
To provide a diverse educational experience where all students will become respected, productive, and valued members of our community.

Our Community
Over 3,200 students make up Sandusky City Schools. We have a diverse student population and a district rich in pride, tradition, and excellence. Our vibrant city is the heart of Vacationland. We are a port community and the county seat of Erie County. With a shoreline stretching 22 miles, it’s no wonder over 25,000 people call Sandusky home.

Highlights of Sandusky City Schools
- In 2020-2021 we opened three new elementary buildings for our students. Our elementary program starts in Preschool and Kindergarten at the Sandusky Early Learning Academy. The Regional Center for Arts and Academic Studies (RCAAS) provides gifted services for students of the district. It is the only all-day gifted program in the region. RCAAS begins in the third grade.

- Our middle school students are housed at Sandusky High School allowing for easy access to advanced classes and utilization of high school space for 7th and 8th grade students.
