Mr. Daniel Rambler arrived at Sandusky City Schools as a champion of students and families.  He now serves as the Superintendent and Chief Executive Officer of Sandusky City Schools, a district known for its pride, rich tradition and history, academic excellence, and dynamic student learning opportunities.  

Mr. Rambler graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and later from the University of Cincinnati with a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.  Mr. Rambler then continued his post-graduate work and obtained his Superintendent’s license.  He looks forward to completing his Doctorate of Education in the coming years.  

Beginning his educational career as an English Language Arts educator for Norton City Schools in 2002, Mr. Rambler also coached and directed many extracurricular activities during this time.  He learned the importance of forming meaningful relationships with other educators, students, and their families in his early years of teaching.  Mr. Rambler then joined Akron Public Schools as an assistant principal in 2007.  He transitioned to his role as Director of Student Support Services for Akron Public Schools in 2012.

In his role as the Director of Student Support Services, he served on committees including Senior Staff, District Strategy, Legal Contracts and Policy, and Discipline Review.  He was also a Title IX Compliance Officer and Civil Rights Compliance Officer for the district.  Working closely with the Summit County Juvenile Court, he also served on the JDAI Executive Committee and Restore Court Advisory Board.  He is also a member of NAPSA and OAPSA.

In every position that Mr. Rambler has held, his career core revolves around championing students and helping them achieve their full potential.  Mr. Rambler values shared decision-making as a fundamental necessity for creating positive climates for educators, staff, families, and students.  

Mr. Rambler currently resides in Sandusky and is enjoying the beautiful views around Sandusky Bay, meeting community members and families, and interacting with our dynamic students.  He shares four amazing children with his wife of 21 years, Tammy.  Mr. Rambler enjoys listening to audiobooks, attending his kids’ activities, and spending time with his wife.
