Sandusky City Schools would like to formally welcome our Blue Streak Family back for the 2026- 2027 school year! Please reference the information that is specific to your student(s) school building for important information and upcoming events.

August 25, 2026 - Family Conferences & Open House

ALL students will start Wednesday, August 26. There will be no staggered starts.

All buildings will also have their Annual Title IA Meeting.

Sandusky Early Learning Academy, Sandusky Primary School & Annual Title IA Meetings
Family Orientations from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Sandusky Intermediate School Open House & Annual Title IA Meeting
Open House is 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and staff will be reaching out to families regarding times for Orientation.
Teachers will be having lunch from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm and will be unavailable during this time.
Parent Title IA Meetings will be held in the SIS Cafeteria from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Regional Center for Arts & Academic Studies & Annual Title IA Meeting
Family Orientations: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Families should have received a survey ahead of time for time preferences.

Sandusky Digital Learning Center Open House & Annual Title IA Meeting
Open House from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm & 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Sandusky Middle School Open House & Annual Title IA Meeting
7th Grade Parent Meeting 5:00 pm in the SHS Cafeteria
Open House for both 7th & 8th grade: 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm

Sandusky High School Open House & Annual Title IA Meeting
Freshman Orientation - Tuesday, August 25 from 5:30 to 6:00 pm in the SHS Auditorium
Open House 9-12 - Tuesday, August 25 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at SHS (open campus)

How ClassDojo is used in our schools
ClassDojo is primarily used by teachers to:

Not every classroom uses ClassDojo in the same way. Your student's teacher will share how they use it in their class and what to expect.

How to get connected to your student's class
To make sure families are connected to the correct class, school, and teacher, ClassDojo account invitations are shared directly by schools and teachers. To get started: 
1. Download the ClassDojo App (App Store/Google Play)
2.  Wait for an invitation from your student’s teacher, or
3.  Contact your student’s teacher or school if you haven’t received an invite after Open House.

Here Comes the Bus is a school bus tracking app for parents. The app shows real-time bus locations on a map. Parents will know both scheduled and actual arrivals for their child's bus and can even enable push notifications when the bus is near.

School Fee Waiver

We kindly invite you to complete the Ohio Household Income Form/School Fee Waiver to help Sandusky City Schools determine eligibility for additional state and federal program benefits beyond school meal programs. This important form helps our schools qualify for extra funding and resources—and may also make your family eligible for valuable benefits such as school fee waivers. It only takes a few minutes to complete, and all information is kept strictly confidential. Thank you for partnering with us to support your child(ren)’s education and the success of our entire school community!  

The School Fee Waiver is available on your student's Emergency Medical Form (EMA/EMF) under Part 8.
