All prospective Sandusky Career Center students are required to pass the WorkKeys® test prior to admission. WorkKeys® scores are based on a skill level beginning at 3 and depending on the test going as high as a 7. The following three tests are required for each program: Applied Mathematics, Graphic Literacy and Workplace Documents.
The following Workkeys subjects consist of the following:
Applied Math - Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, decimals, nonlinear functions, volume, spheres and cylinders. A calculator is provided.
Graphic Literacy - Diagrams, floor plans, tables, forms, graphs, charts, instrument gauges, maps and dashboards.
Workplace Documents - memos, letters, directions, signs, notices, bulletins, policies, regulations, procedures, announcements, contracts and legal documents.
Please anticipate 3½ to 4 hours to complete the series of tests. Below you will find the passing scores needed for each test broken down by program. All testing completed online, immediate results.
Testing takes place at the Sandusky Career Center, 4105 Venice Heights Blvd., on scheduled Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
You will need to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the test. Please have a valid (not expired) picture ID with you such as a driver's license or state issued ID card. Any student arriving late or without an ID will not be allowed to test. Calculators will be provided for the math portion of the test. Registration is based on a first come, first serve basis.
We require 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule your test. Failure to do so will require a rescheduling fee of $17.00 per subject.
