article object Sandusky City Schools Change of Last Day of School for Elementary Students
Sandusky, Ohio. At the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, February 18th, Sandusky City Schools Board Members voted to change the last day of school for all elementary students in grades preschool through 6th. The last day of school for grades preschool through 6th will now be May 29th, 2020.

“We want to prepare for this move as best as we can”, stated Dr. Stephen Sturgill, Chief of Staff and Transformation Officer. “We are creating a plan that will allow for a smooth transition into our new buildings. Over the next few months we will have a better idea on how far along construction is and we can solidify our plans. These extra days will be a huge help in this transition process.”

Sandusky City Schools is currently working with community organizations to provide activities so students have the opportunity to be engaged during that week. Information will be distributed appropriately to students when available. Students in grades 7-12 will operate as normal, with their last day of school remaining as June 4th .
