Primary Blue Streak Summer Camp
Sandusky Primary School will be offering a “Primary Blue Streak Summer Camp” this year for students entering 1st and 2nd grade for the 2023-2024 school year. The camp will allow your student to review both reading and math skills before returning to school later in August. This camp will help your student with a “super start” to the school year. Attending student will be provided lunch at each session. (Students are invited to stay for SCS Summer Fun immediately following this session. You must register separately for that session below.)

Camp SCS Summer Fun
Camp Summer Fun will provide a social, emotional learning environment that builds skills from enriching activities, fun and adult support. Campers and adults will be engaged in center-based recreation activities using a Structured Play Group reinforcing sharing, waiting patiently and taking turns as well as sportsmanship, complimenting/encouraging others, positive expectations, accepting boundaries and limits will be emphasized. (Students registered for the Primary Blue Streak Summer Camp are invited to stay and participate.)

SIS Summer Reading
Join our summer reading club in the SIS library. Students will read and discuss the book Flora & Ulysses. We will also watch the Disney movie version and compare similarities and differences.

Elementary Summer Arts Workshops
Students going into the 2nd – 6th grades can experience dance, theatre, art, and music at this 1-week camp. Those referred for gifted assessment in the arts will have first priority for this program. Students will participate in a collective performance and art show on the final day.

Third Grade Reading Guarantee Summer School
This summer program is for 3rd grade students who did not pass their Ohio State Tests in reading and would like tutoring and to re-test this summer. Daily attendance is essential in order for them to do their best on the test.

Dorn Summer Experience
Get ready for our Blue Streak version of CHOPPED! Students entering RCAAS in the fall are invited to learn about nutrition and health effects of our food choices. Field trips and food prep (and eating!) will also be part of our learning fun! Enrollment will be limited to the first 50 incoming RCAAS students to register.

Summer Space Camp
Join us for a fun filled day 3-day camp that focuses on STEAM activities, which includes shows in the Sidney Frohman Planetarium and learning all about space and space exploration. Students will build their own rocket and test the limits of the sky. Limited to 20 students per session. This camp will be held in the Planetarium for students entering grades 4-6.

Summer Safari
Summer Safari will be an 8 day STEM program exploring: Baking/Cooking, Construction, Manufacturing (3D Printing/Engraving Sign Making) and Health Careers. Fifth and sixth grade students will spend two days with an instructor in each category learning STEM concepts.

SIS Robotics Camp
Students will create a working robot by the end of the week that will be able to complete specific tasks by remote control or pre-programmed code. This camp is for students entering grades 5-7 and will be limited to 24 students per session.

SELA STEAM Summer Learning Camp
This enrichment summer program has been specifically designed for our SELA students with the purpose of providing additional interventions & intensive tools for students to master fundamental skills for the next grade level. This summer

Learn to Swim
Learn to Swim with our Sandusky Swim club’s staff and students. Swim lessons will be 1-week training sessions, 40 minutes long, Monday - Friday, involving swimming techniques and water safety. Swim Lessons will be held at the Sandusky High School Pool (located in the back of SHS) Sign up for a session starting at 10:00 am or 11:00 am. Limited Space, we will create a waiting list.

Summer Swim Team
Join our Sandusky Swimming Club team in June and July. Open to students who can swim at least one lap.
