Congrats to Elle Whelan on her $1000 College Scholarship!

Elle Whelan received a $1000 college scholarship today from Bonnie's Plants! Last year Elle's third grade teacher, Brit Hageman, presented each of her students with a seedling courtesy of Bonnie's Plants and challenged them to grow it as large as they could. Elle took her plant home and did just that. She tended to her garden all summer long and raised a 38 pound cabbage! That cabbage earned her first place at the Erie County Fair AND first place in the State of Ohio with Bonnie's Plants!

Third and fourth graders from Osborne gathered in the gym along with the student body from RCAAS this afternoon for the presentation of Elle's award. Casey Brooks from Bonnie's plants in Cigna, Ohio and Dr. Sereana Dresbach, Deputy Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture in Columbus, Ohio, both made the trip to present Elle with her award.
