Mr. William (Shawn) Coakley, Athletics and Activities Director has officially announced his retirement,effective July 2, 2024. Mr. Coakley stated, “After much thought and consideration, my wife and I have made the decisionto retire. I want to thank the board and administration for giving me the opportunity to serve the students, staff, andSandusky community as the District Athletic & Activities Director at Sandusky City Schools. I am appreciative of myexperiences and the people I have met during my tenure here. The support our community gives to the programs andstudents is truly special. It has been a privilege and pleasure to work with so many wonderful individuals and families. GoStreaks!” Mr. Coakley has worked for the district for 12 years and has played a pivotal role in shaping the student-athletesin the district. The Sandusky City Schools Board of Education accepted Mr. Coakleys Retirement during the April 16th,2024 meeting.Click here for the Press Release.

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) would like to invite you to participate in a short, 25 question survey about your involvement in your student’s education. Research suggests that parental involvement is a key predictor of positive educationaloutcomes. You may be eligible to participate if your child has an IEP and receives special education services. The purpose of collecting this information is to improve services for students with disabilities across Ohio.
