The Sandusky City Schools Central Administration office will have multiple personnel transitions during June, 2021. The Sandusky City Schools Board of Education accepted Dr. Vilicia Cade’s resignation during the May 25, 2021 board meeting. Dr. Cade has accepted the position of Superintendent for Capital School District in Dover, Delaware. In an effort to continue the pivotal work in the area of academics, Dr. Stephen Sturgill will be transitioning from Chief of Staff and Transformation Officer to Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Sturgill is familiar with the academic transformation that is taking place within the district. “We are confident that Dr. Sturgill will continue building upon the foundational work that Dr. Cade has built over the last three years”, stated Dr. Eugene Sanders, Chief Executive Officer and Superintendent. “This transition will allow for a seamless flow of academic transformation within the district.” Dr. Cade’s last day will be June 15, 2021 with Dr. Sturgill transitioning to this position immediately.
