Sandusky Hires Former Graduate as Chief Academic Officer
The Board of Education for the Sandusky City Schools approved a two-year contract today for a Blue Streak to serve as the next Chief Academic Officer. Mrs. Tracy Simmons Reed is a 1984 graduate of Sandusky High School and has served in multiple roles in public school administration. She is a former teacher in Cleveland and served as an Assistant Principal and Principal in Maple Heights City Schools. She has also served as the Chief Academic Officer for the Benton Harbor City Schools in Benton Harbor, Michigan as well as the Chief Academic Officer for the Fort Wayne City Schools in Indiana. CEO and Superintendent, Dr. Eugene T. W. Sanders, noted, “We are so very excited to welcome Mrs. Reed back home and based on her extensive experience, I am confident she will be able to hit the ground running and implement our robust and well aligned academic priorities.”
