Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Re-Entry Plans
When is the first day of classes for students this year?
The first day of classes for students will be September 8th.

Will all students receive a technology device for the year?
Yes - All Sandusky City School students will have the opportunity to receive a technology device for the 2020-2021 school year for a $10 fee. Devices will be available for pick up during scheduled orientation times.

What options do families have if they do not have internet access at home?
During this COVID-19 crisis, Buckeye Broadband and Sandusky City Schools is committed to ensuring every home has access to an education, specifically when attending school in person may not be a safe option. The School Freenet Program utilizes an ad-based FreeNet product, while allowing special circumstances during classroom hours such as: enough speed & upload to stream (3) classrooms at a time, no ads between 7am-4pm Monday-Friday, and daily usage reporting. Internet speeds will slow down at night and on weekends. Families with existing internet services are not eligible.
Here are the steps to sign up
  1. Go to the Parents page on our district website and fill out the form titled "Fall 2020 Internet Sign-up"
  2. After 3 business days, you will receive an email with a contact number for Buckeye Broadband
  3. You will call the hotline number and schedule an appointment with Buckeye Broadband
  4. A Buckeye technician will come to your house and install your internet
  5. If you do not have email or need help signing up, you may call 419-626-6940

Will there be an open house this year?
We will not be conducting a traditional open house this year; however, in its place, we will have an orientation for students and families. Each school building will communicate with families to schedule a time for their orientation. At orientation, students will meet their teachers, receive their technology device, review their daily schedules, and review district forms.

Are we still having fall sports this year?
