A Letter from the Chief Academic Officer & Superintendent
We would like to thank you for your continued patience and support this school year. On Monday, October 19, 2020, we returned to face-to-face (in-person) instruction while placing a priority on the safety and social emotional well-being of our students and staff. Sandusky City Schools’ teachers and principals continue to work diligently to meet the demands of these unprecedented times. To this, the Senior Leadership Team has every confidence in the collective efforts of our employees to ensure that all students are safe and successful this school year.

It is important to remember that we must all remain flexible. The Senior Leadership Team will work to ensure we have transparent and on-going communication with all of our stakeholders. The goal of this letter is to provide an update on changes that impact academic achievement and instructional improvement in the following four areas:
1. Changes in the original teacher training days (Professional Development/Wavier Days)
2. Changes in the grade reporting procedure and timelines
3. Changes to our Parent Teacher Conference format
4. Understanding why we are testing your child (Formative Assessments)...
