Any sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in exploring their career options in the U.S. Military are encouraged to sign up to take the ASVAB Career Exploration Assessment. The ASVAB will be offered at 9 am on Friday, March 15, in Room 300/301.Although the assessment can be used for military service, students are not required to sign up for military service. The assessment is offered to help students gauge their potential to perform well in various careers. A College Credit Plus Night will be offered from 6-7 pm on Thursday, March 21, in Room 300. This session is for parents with children in grades 7-11 who are interested in being admitted to the CCP program. Students who are not yet in high school must qualify for the CCP program by taking the Accuplacer exam.If interested, middle school students are encouraged to call 419-372-0886 to schedule the Accuplacer Reading exam. High school students with less than a 3.0 GPA also must schedule an appointment to take the Accuplacer Reading exam. High school students with at least a 3.0 GPA or higher are admitted into the CCP program once they have completed the online application to BGSU Firelands at bgsu.edu/firelands/apply and their transcripts are sent to the college.Anyone with questions should call Dr. Richard Koonce, the college and career readiness advisor/coach at 419-984-1085 for more information.

Sandusky City Schools will be hosting the 2024 Annual State of the Schools Address at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024 in the Sandusky High School Auditorium. Once again this year, we will feature the Sidney Frohman Planetarium and Sandusky Cultural Center as a pre-event activity that you will not want to miss! Attendees will have the opportunity to view a show prior to the State of the Schools Address in the Sidney Frohman Planetarium, walk through the Sandusky Cultural Center Art Gallery, and enjoy hors D’oeuvres from 4:00 pm – 5:45 pm.
