Paramedic
If you're looking for a dynamic career in emergency medical services, the Paramedic program is perfect for you!  EMS is an emerging career field with above-average growth expected over the next 10 years.  This program will prepare you to work in a variety of settings, including emergency, critical care and air-medical services, hospital emergency departments and more.

The Paramedic program is 940 hours in length and meets the newly revised Ohio Division of EMS curriculum requirements.  Students will participate in a comprehensive program to prepare them for work in the prehospital field and success on the National Registry of EMTs certification exam.

Anatomy & Physiology
Paramedic Foundations (Prepratory, Pharmacology and Medication - Administration)
Patient Assessment
Airway Management
Medical Emergencies
Trauma
Special Patient Populations
EMS Operations

Students complete extensive clinical and field internships at area hospitals, clinics, medical facilities and ALS agencies to gain hands-on experience. Working under the direct supervision of clinical instructors, nurses, physicians and paramedics, students will bridge the gap from classroom to the field to become competent entry-level paramedics.

Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) or Advanced EMT certification
Paramedic Anatomy & Physiology (currently offered as part of the program; waiver credit is available if this has been previously completed)
