Firefighter I-II
Firefighter I-II is designed for students with no prior firefighter training who are pursuing a career in fire and rescue services. In one comprehensive course, students can achieve firefighter certification at the highest level available in Ohio. Topics in this 256-hour course include:

  • Life Safety Initiatives
  • Fire Behavior
  • Salvage and Overhaul
  • Firefighter Tools and Equipment
  • Personal Protective Equipment and SCBA
  • Rescue
  • Water Supplies, Hose, Nozzles, Streams and Foam Applications
  • Building Construction
  • Forcible Entry
  • Ventilation
  • Emergency Medical Care
  • Hazardous Materials (Operations Level)
  • Incident Command
  • Emergency Vehicle Operations
  • Live Fire Training and Practical Evolutions
Prerequisites: Approved PPE/SCBA.
