Emergency Medical Technician
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is the initial certification needed for anyone preparing for a career in emergency medical services and is a prerequisite for the Paramedic program. This course meets the updated Ohio Division of EMS curriculum standards and prepares students for the National Registry of EMTs certification exam.  Students participate in 136 hours of classroom and lab sessions to learn the fundamentals of prehospital emergency medical care. A 16-hour field experience concludes the course.
