Minutes of June 2, 2010 Sandusky Booster Meeting
Total in attendance, including officers was 14
Meeting called to order at 6:010 p.m. by Pres. Vince Rhodes
Secretary Report – emailed and motioned to accept May minutes by Susan Sackett. Second by Paul Wilke. Motion Passed.
Treasurers Report – no report provided, all bills paid to date. Scholarships were awarded to Victor Groot and Jessica Anderson.
Correspondence – none
Coach’s Report – Golf- Coach King said they are working on skills and range days currently and actuall practice begins 8/2/10. Football: Coach Franklin has scheduled visits to DI and DII colleges. He also sent out Unity Camp Scholarship letters requesting donations.
AD Report – Susan Sackett said Damarr Adcock will compete in the state track meet this weekend in the 200 m dash. Best of luck to him!
Committee Report –
* Grade School Sports – FB sign up is underway for flag and tackle football. Season begins August 2nd. Free physicals for grades 5-12 are schedule for 6/2/10. Check was received for $2000 from Wightman/Wieber Foundation for Grade School football.
Festival of Lights- tickets will be available in mid august.
* Membership – still need chairperson. In the mean time, Jackie will bring envelopes/forms to stuff at Booster Picnic
* Commemorative Bricks – no report
*Newsletter – no report.
*July 4th Sausage Stand- still need an event coordinator for that day. Possibly have one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Will have sign up sheet at Appreciation picnic.
*Golf Outing- currently has 26 teams signed up. Working on food and supplies. Hole sponsors are near 30.
Old Business –
New Business-
-need to elect officers, board members, and committee chairs. Per Jim Hart, we should form a committee to recruit candidates. Ken Wolters, Jim Hart, and Susan Sackett said they’d help.
Motion made by Paul Wilke and 2nd by Jackie Collins to hold current officers until August meeting. Motion passed.
