Recap of Award Winners from Awards Night
Sandusky High School’s 36th Annual Achievement Awards program filled the SHS auditorium with students, parents, educators and members of the community. Freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors were recognized for their outstanding academic performances. In addition, students were recognized for their accomplishments in art, music, theatre, athletics, attendance, career tech, leadership, and community service. The greater part of the evening showcased members of the senior class, during which time numerous local scholarships were presented. This year, exceptional SHS seniors accepted nearly $350,000 in community-based merit scholarships! The cusp of the ceremony was dedicated to the presentation of the esteemed Captain Dan Thomas Award and the school’s two most prestigious honors - The Stauffer and Malinovsky Awards. 8:30am - 3:00pm with the performance Friday June 19th, at 7:30pm.

Students going into the 9th -12th grades, Pre-screening for student and parents is Sunday June 7th at 2:00pm

Congratulations to all of the students who won awards at the SHS Academic Achievement Awards night this past Tuesday! Scholarships awarded to our 2015 Seniors have totaled: $348,291.21! Click here to see the entire list of scholarships and the recipients!
 
Sandusky Career Center Open House is Thursday, June 18th!
The Sandusky Career Center Open House will be on Thursday, June 18th from 2 pm - 6 pm. Tours of the Career Center classrooms will be available along with a coupon off the application fee. Enter off Perkins Avenue, near the tent. Light refreshments will be served.  
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration is now underway! Many new “Blue Streaks” were enrolled already for the 2015-16 school year this week!
Here are the steps you need to take to register your child for Kindergarten:
• Pick up a registration form at any Sandusky City School building or the Board of Education building.
• Complete the packet and collect required paperwork
• Call the Board of Education for an appointment to enroll your child @ 419-626-6940
We encourage you to register right away to ensure enrollment procedures are complete!
 
Preschool Registration
We are now accepting applications for our Preschool program at Hancock Elementary (a 5-Star SUTQ Program) and Mills Elementary. You can enroll your child in one of our programs by completing a registration packet at the Board of Education, 407 Decatur St. Please call Student Services at 419-984-1048 for questions.
